hi there does any one know if there is a away to limit users forum access to certain forums till they have made say 5 posts somewhere elese

well, im quite certain a plugin did exist, not necessarily at MybbMods, but it was for an earlier version.

Create a new group called "5 posts" and copy all the permissions of "Registered", then use the Group Promotion settings to automaticly change the user's group when he has 5 posts. Then set the permissions manually so that the group without 5 posts will not be able to access it.

You don't need a mod. You need to look at MyBB's options.

i have done that then tested with a temp account and it never worked after i made 5 posts i still could not see rest of forum
