Hi,

I unticked the 'Can view?' for the Guest group as I don't want them to view the threads. However this makes them see as if the thread is not even there.

I want it so the guest can see the thread exists, I.E. title. But when they click to view the thread, it asks them to login/register. Is this possible?

Hmmm, for some reason this doesn't seem to work at all.

That works fine. Can you go to Configuration-forum Home Options, and make sure that the Hide Private Forums? is set to No. Because I think you have set that to Yes which hides the forums for the usergroups that don''t have permissions to view them.
