I know this has been asked a million times, but I still cant figure this out.

All I want, is to have the smilies show up next to the quick reply box.

Ive tried http://mods.mybboard.net/view/advanced-quick-reply-form and that works, but I dont want the mycode and formatting buttons. If I disable that, the smilies dont work. There's also a huge space to the right of my forum if I enable the mycode buttons. I know there's a fix to that, but its impossible to find a correct size that looks good on all size monitors.

Is there anyway to do this?

I've managed to get the smilies to show up, but clicking them does nothing.

You are probly just missing the javascript, go to where you found your code and look for it.
