Full Version: Mod CP and Moderator Functions Broken

Hi guys,

Over at http://www.computerlimbo.com, I have had a recent problem with not being able to use the MOD CP or stick delete threads etc on a clean install of Mybb 1.4.9 for 3 weeks. If I type the direct link to the MODCP it doesnt lock me out, but if I use any moderator ffunction I view the no permissions page. It seems to have stopped working after IX Webhosting helped me with somethings, FTP related. I have checked in the health monitor of myBB and it says all the CHMOD settings are correct. Apache support for the Windows servers that Im on doesnt come until January. Thoughts?

Also, when I click modcp the link changes to http://www.computerlimbo.com//index.php (and yes it changes to 2 slashes.)

Thanks,
TheWiz
Assuming you're trying to use the inline thread moderation options, make sure the showthread_moderationoptions template is default.
Thanks for the reply,

Unfortunatly it did nothing to help, and Im wondering if there is a permissions problem?

Tried a new copy of moderation.php from a fresh MyBB download??
No, it helped nothing Sad. I do believe though that it is something in the database, because hooking up a fresh database and the modcp stuff works (while everything else is weird because it doesnt have all the data) Is there anything specific in a mybb database that would do this.

Thanks,
TheWiz

Update: I just realized the refresh button no longer works on my page. I am now leaning towards a database issue. Can you tell me how to take a clean mybb database and add the specific tables containing users forums and posts, and then everything else would hopefully merge?
I fixed it myself. turns out the Fresh Blue theme by Partrick is no goo,d and other were having problems with it too Sad
That's odd... most likely there's a template there that's been updated in a recent release but hasn't been updated in the theme, that was the case with the showthread_moderationoptions template, that was changed in an upgrade and if it wasn't reverted to default you'd get a no permissions error when using the mod options.

Can you post the URL to the theme??
Here was the theme that was "supposedly ported" to MyBB 1.4, which is what I was using.

Thanks for your help,
TheWiz

Update: Its also right on this website: http://mods.mybboard.net/view/freshblue_mybb_14
I had this same problem in addition to my Admin CP breaking & registrations breaking as
outlined in my post here - http://community.mybboard.net/thread-59236-page-1.html

I found a fix for it. I migrated to phpBB.

Now my forum works again.

Happy days.
@Mr Brainz I see no reference to a no permissions page anywhere in your thread... not until you linked to this thread. And if you'd waited just another hour you'd have been able to bump the thread.

@TheWiz what plugins do you have??
