Firstly, I am not a theme editor at all, so if this seems ridiculous I am sorry
The Index shows the forms as {$forums} where the threads and forums are to be at. Where do I edit this Forums if I were to want to place something in between each forums section.

You have to edit the 'forumbut_depth1_cat' and place what you want in between the forums at the bottom of the code in the template.
By default, the code in the forumbit_depth1_cat template is:
