Full Version: Can I stop MyBB from displaying posts from banned users in brackets?

Hey, sorry to post again but I just noticed this and it would be good to disable it (or maybe make it visible only to mods/admins Smile ), is there any way to do this?

It would actually be great if instead I could get it to show the number of new posts/threads in a section for members to see, but I know this is a bit more ambitious - someone just suggested it and it occurred to me that's a pretty swell idea! Maybe a cool option for a future version of MyBB?

Anyway, thanks again and see you round everyone,

Elwave Smile
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the the posts in brackets are not from banned users, but those are posts that are unapproved. It will show up if posts are set to be approved first and there are some that have not been approved yet.
oh... possibly, but I mean it did perfectly match the number of posts from a banned user... then again I have quite a few mods and even a second admin so I don't know how banning him was handled, I wasn't there at the time o.O
If they matched then it would have been pure coincidence, as G33K said, the numbers in brackets are for the number of unapproved posts/threads.

you mean unapproved for on forums where a mod or admin has to approve each thread and post individually? I don't do that on my forum.. maybe one of the mods did something slightly wrong or something Smile
Well that's all those numbers mean, unapproved posts or threads, so if those numbers show, there's unapproved posts or threads. You can find them quickly via the Mod CP.
thanks for the help everyone, I'm glad I understand now Smile
