I was wondering if there could come a different way of uploading, i can't upload themes xml because i have safe mode on for php and since my host doesn't want to put that off it isn't that easy to change the skin.

Importing theme from a file already on your server is supported. It should be the "local filename" setting in the Admin CP --> templates --> import

Admin CP > Themes > Import

Also, make sure you have previously uploaded the file into the directory of your forums.

I always get that at both so i guess i am doing something wrong?

i have the same problem i cant import any theme i get the same error msg. no matter which method i use. also in the same server i can import themes to rc4 but not to 1.02 there must be a bug or something
