If I start to use this: http://community.mybb.com/mods.php?action=view&pid=24  all old thanks, likes etc will be eliminated? Undecided

The new plugin has an import system, in theory you could install it on 1.6, import all the thanks from the G33k plugin, then upgrade to 1.8.

I haven't done this yet, but as soon as other plugins are updated, I intend to.
Thank you Big Grin I'll try

Is this plugin also supported by tapatalk?
^ No, every mycode and new plugins you have to modify all entire code.

Tapatalk is compatible with 1.8? Because he has their own core to bridge with MyBB.

No idea since I don't use tapatalk or know how it works.
The simple like from euan t doesnt work for me, getting errors after upload.

I also noticed geek wasnt here for months. Possible someone else take over and make a version for 1.8.?
^ for the simple likes plugin, if the error is missing core system files then see this reply
Ty. But what exactly is required to get this plugin working on 1.8? Is it much to change?

This plugin relies on the prototype javascript framework, which was bundled in Mybb 1.6.

Mybb 1.8 uses jQuery, so basically, you would just have to port the code from prototype to jQuery.
Ok, thanks. I was just interested, i have no idea how to do that. Big Grin
