I was wondering if there is a way, or if someone could make a plugin, to allow users to put in the URL to an icon for the they post.

Something like the picture I attached.
They could click the radio button beside the box, and input the URL of the post icon they want to use. There could be settings in the 'Posting' section of the board configuration in the Admin CP so the admin can set height and width dimension limits.

Hope that all makes sense, this would be a cool plugin!

Yes, would also like this.
But would also like the choice to have the user be able to upload an image or use a URL.

There would have to be size limit, like 16x16, otherwise people could just use HUGE images and ruin the layout. But it does sound interesting, although I don't use post icons.

I agree, that would also need to be something you could set in the acp. If larger, an auto resize would be needed.

This one has the image as part of the topic tittle it seams.
