The IE 8 text input lag issue I was having on this forum seems to be still there but not as bad as it was, I think M$ last automated update did something to the browser to make it a bit faster with CMS interfaces like the one used here.
What do you mean with IE8 Text Input? And how is this related to MyBBoard.Net?

People do still use Internet Explorer. The other browsers might not be to their liking.
The issues with IE8 and this forum are to do with your computer, rather than this website.

I notice sometimes when I am running a lot of software and applications that sometimes it lags when you type in a text input or Word.
Yeah, you/your computer are the problem. If you dig on the code some of this days, you'll notice the reply box is nothing but a standard textarea.
I have duplicated this issue! I had 200 tabs open and my CPU/RAM was almost @ 100 %.
