Is their a plugin that allows images to be displayed in a post and not just a link ?

It's not a plugin, it automatically comes with mybb.

Maybe I have missed a easy step.
1) I add a image (attach)
2) save post
3) I then go back into the post and open the attachment
4) copy the address line
5) select the insert image button which prompts me to insert the "URL" I then past the url in the window and the images displays in the post

Note I took the "g" out of [/img just so you could see the hyperlink text
Is there a better way to get a image to display in a post
or is their a way for the users to upload images to be displayed in the post
Any help would be appreciated, I have just switched from SMF and all I had to do in SMF was select insert image and it allowed me to display the image in the post
How about push the "Insert Into Post" button?

No after you attached an image you have a button next to the delete one saying Insert Into Post.
