I think in 1.6, we should be able to add our own language variables to the different lang files in Admin CP, instead of having to edit the file itself.

You can do that already in 1.4, if I got you right.

Not from my research. I couldnt find anything in the ACP that allowed me to do it.

You can already edit lang files directly from the ACP.

No I mean being able to add custom variables.
These:

$l['variable'] = "Some value here.";
