I'm looking for a modification or plugin that will let me customize the postbit on a per user or usergroup basis. In other words, only the posts of a particular user will be formatted differently from the other posts with a custom background and colour.
I searched for a while to locate this but couldn't find any information. I would appreciate any help provided.
As much as I hate bumping old threads, I would like to put in my support for this request myself.
Essentially, a plugin that can be edited with the following:
- Changes the post color and/or background of the postbit of a user in a set group.
- Can set backgrounds, colors, and other styles via CSS.
- Would allow for multiple types for different user groups selected to have settings set.
Examples:
User A is a normal user (in group Registered), they will always get the default postbit alternating-coloring.
User B is a VIP user (in group VIP), they will be given a background image on their post bit denoting their status. (Example of the color post bit:

User C is a developer (in group Devel), they will be given a special post bit color/theme and have a background set on their post denoting so. (Example of background for developers and none for normal users:

Awesome, I think for simplicity's sake it'd be easier to list all groups on the plugin page for the plugin and set each group to have its own CSS style from the global.css file. Would probably save a lot of time overall.
I have a simpler way, that will work.

You will just edit the group you want CSS in the post for, and it will give you the option under the Miscellaneous tab.
