I just don't want to log other people's IPs. And we haven't had any spam (yet) so I don't see a need for it.

If you want it or not, the ip''s are logged at the database. Personally I don''t think it is wise to not log them at your forum, for various reasons.

There is some merit for not logging IP addresses. If you don't log the IP addresses, you can't turn them over to law enforcement
