I'm not 100% sure because I cannot run any actual tests from my current workstation but I would suggest either getting an alternate domain setup temporarily while you install MyBB or fixing your current DNS settings (assuming that is the problem and not your host).
Then you haven't installed yet...

But Matt, he gets the same error on the /install/ directory.
Oh yeah... might be because .tk domains are weird and don't actually change when you go to different pages so it just always loads the root.
That's what I'm thinking also.

If .tk not works better go with .co.cc that is also free domain. it is better then .tk i can guess
