right, so it's really not the same thing at all then, this mod is specifically for the "count"

any news on this?

I thought i would try this plugin but i get this error

MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:
1054 - Unknown column 'linkto' in 'mybb_forums'
Query:
ALTER TABLE mybb_forums ADD linktohits INT NOT NULL DEFAULT '0' AFTER linkto

deos this plugin compatible with 1.6 ?

Any updates on this mod? Looks like its not currently working with the latest MyBB release. This is exactly what I am wanting for my re-direct links on my site.

This is a shame nothing has been updated for this.

The plugin worked on 1.8.30 and not on 1.8.31. Can the plugin author update it to the latest version?
