Make sure it's being changed in the database.

Hello everyone. Just signed up and have decided to use MyBB for my website. A quick question. 

If I follow this tutorial will I be able to put a link within my website that says something like "Discuss this topic on the forums" and have some code that will pull the topic information from my page and place it into the appropriate fields on the forum such as thread subject field.
