the images are never updated
on Mybb 1.4.10






I've seen this issue quite some time and the image never updates

You mean the on/off images?? Are you uploading new images with the same name and file extension??

Images are gif

and only replace them with the original images

Can we have your URL??

Try to hard refresh your browser and see if the changes will be visible.

in another of my websites the icons work perfect

I'm not sure what else we can tell you then, if you're uploading images called on.gif, off.gif and offlock.gif, they're overwriting the current images, and you haven't changed the templates to load a different extension, there's no real reason why they shouldn't work.

my forumbit themplates are intact

Have you tried deleting the current ones and uploading the new ones??

Also, someone else said to try a hard refresh, did you do that? (Shift+F5 or Ctrl+F5 depending on browser)
