Hello. I saw on another forum somebody say that they wouldnt pay for a MyBB plugin by an external developer. Their reason was that MYBB is open source, so it should all be free.

I thought about this myself & thought yes maybe its wrong for external plugin developers to charge, when the people who create MYBB itself work for free?

What is your opinion on this?

This has been bought up time and time again and every time it's ended very badly, with people earning themselves warnings or bans, so I think it's best for everyone if we don't start it up again. We're perfectly happy with people charging for plugins and themes.
