We are trying to remove old plugins that are stubborn and remain in the admin panel.
Any ideas where to look for these?
For instance can they be removed from the database?
They have been removed the correct way but still remain.
One for instance is Cipher image resizer.

You mean you deactivated, but the settings groups are still displaying in the acp?

If so, go to configuration and click the top "Modify Settings" tab.
There you can delete settings and settings groups.

Hope this is what you were looking for.
