I keep seeing pages pop-up like "You have logged in. You will now be directed to where you were" and so forth.

How does one get rid of these? They are quite annoying.

Look in the optimize/preference setting

FYI the setting there will change it for new users and guests, you'll need to turn if off in your UserCP Options.
