The template where the codes for the on.giff and off.gif are. I do not want to change the images I only want that template. Can anyone please tell me?

IN the index template you will find what you are looking for. If you don't find please you have to be more specific...
You asked for this template: index template with the on.gif, off.gif and offlock.gif images.

... It's not in the index template, Skiilz... It's in forumbit_depth2_forum
You change it to this
Then you go to the index template and change it to this:
So the legend icons would get changed to PNG too. ^_^
