Is there a way to prune PM messages?
We would like to have them auto delete say after 60 days or so.
I cant find any plugins.

I would also like this.. but what about saved PM's members have? You would not want to prune that on them.
Would need the auto prune to leave out all PM's saved in the members Drafts box. Or have a plugin create a "Saved Messages" box for safe keeping.

Just my 2 cents, but this would be great if something along them lines were made into a plugin.

I agree this would be useful. A time limit to delete, groups to exempt, and folders to exempt too.

This would be incredibly handy. Maybe I'll tackle it.

You can already empty your trash. Private Messages > Empty Folders.

If a PM has been moved to trash, and has been in there for the past 7 days, it is automatically deleted in the Daily Cleanup task.

Thats not the issue here Tom we are talking about.
I know on my board their are a lot of members that have PMs sitting in their inbox.
Far to often members will read them, but not delete them. This mod will force a clean on everyone regardless if they have read/deleted a PM.

Just looking on 1 user right now on my board that has 2 PAGES of PM's he has read.. but yet to delete.
Just doing a fast look, i see LOTS of members with 5 or more read PM's still in there inbox just sitting their.
This new plugin we are talking about will take care of this sort of thing. keeping all PM box's clean regardless of the users actions.

I hope we see this, will be very useful
