I keep my mp3's in a folder called "songs", and everytime I check in there, for the past songs, the files have been getting modified.

Everyday, I clicked "sort by date modified", and there's at least 20 songs that get modified each day. Now I can't see any noticeable changes, the songs are the same, same length, same album art, same information, but something just seems fishy here.

What could be the reason?

Do you open Itunes each day? (With those songs?)(

I don't open iTunes everyday, and the songs that are getting modified are songs I haven't touched in months.

Could be your dodgy media player modifying tags.

You can make a copy of the file elsewhere, then when it gets updated/modified, do a hash compare to really see if anything has been changed other than the timestamp.

Its probably just your computer scanning the files (If you have antivirus software)
