Hi,

beside the fact, that I'm currently unable to hide formus to guests, guests are also able to see the the
'Member List' button (klicking will show:The member list functionality has been disabled by the Administrator)
and the 'Calendar' Button (klicking will show: You cannot use the calendar functionality as it has been disabled by the Administrator)
regardless that these features are disabled....

I'm sure, I could suppress these parts by modifying the templates, but I do not want to edit the templates for any upcomming updates.

Do I misunderstand the permissions management in myBB?

Yes, disabling it doesn't remove anything from the templates, that's intended behavior.
