i've got the info that we can remove myBB footer by donating $5 to the community. I am interested for it, i dont know whom to donate it to? and other things.

You can also remove the copyright without donating but you will not get any kind of support from Mybb if you remove the copyright.

As far as I know, this isn't the case anymore. I could be wrong though, so I have asked other staff. I will let you know what they say.

As far as I'm aware there's no official paid copyright removal, we'd need to set a specific price, so for now, if the copyright isn't there, we can't support you... we have no way of knowing if you've donated or how much, we have no access to that sort of information. I don't know where you read it was $5, that's the first I've heard of it being $5 and I'm pretty sure it'd be more than that anyway.

@MattRogowski, I had the same thing in mind. If i donated and removed the copyrights, how wud the ppl in forum come to know that someone is a legit user or just removed the user without donating.

Removing the copyright is a dumb idea. Anyone that has the slightest experience with forums can see that its MyBB and it makes you look bad for not supporting it. Why does one line of text really matter?

Agreed. Keeping the copyright intact is the least we can do to show our support and appreciation to this great project.

I have just checked with staff, and no, you cannot pay to remove the copyright.

You can however remove the TEXT and replace it with an IMAGE
