I just installed MyBB, everything went fine, I went to login, and it said I entered the wrong username or password. So I requested a password change, got it, entered the username sent in the email and the new password, and it still sais it is wrong. This is for quick on the index page.

Unless you've changed the physical javascript file, then the quick login is fine. The cookie settings are probably the culprit.

Having a look at them, try setting a cookie prefix. Can you provide a test account we could test? No special permissions are needed...
