hi,
currently the users on my forum have the email icon showing that allows other users to send emails to each other, is there a way to turn this off at all please? i am sure there was asetting for it, but i just cannot find it,

Admin Control Panel --> Users & Groups --> Groups (Sidebar) --> Registered (or which ever group you want to disable it on) --> Miscellaneous --> Untick 'Can send threads to friends and email users?'
