Get a custom theme! Just look through the MyBB mod section. I could make a custom theme for you if you want or you could have a look at my free theme

Also why do you got a category and than 1 forum for it? Can't better have 1 category than and put all the forums into that?
Than later on you can expand by making more categories and forums when your forum grows
