I've just uploaded a new forum.
But now, when someon is trying to logon to the forum, you return back to the homepage as 'guest'.

What do I have to fill in for the cookie domain?

to fill them go to Admin CP > board settings > change > General Configuration

scroll down till u find it.

if it's an avatar, then make sure u have set the size for the avatar not only images
