Forums can be set to require moderated posts. I think it would be useful if this could be extended to groups as well, where if a user is in a group requiring post approval, then their posts would have to be moderated. The idea could be that in the ACP editing the settings of User Groups, along with the "Can do this?" there could be a field "Approve threads and posts".
I've seen a plugin that does something similar, except it requires entering group IDs in a board settings page instead of being able to set them as a setting of the user group, and it didn't work (some errors with startform(), etc).
Several options could be to moderate new threads (creating a new thread requires approval), moderate all new posts (creating a new post requires approval even to your own thread), moderate posts to other thread (posting in a thread you created will not require approval)
In addition, this can be used with group promotion to counter some trolls and spammers, by requiring initial posters to approved until they are promoted out of that moderated group.
