Just upgraded from 1.4.9 to 1.4.11 and, though it all went fine mostly, I've now noticed a large blank space that appears below any signatures.

This is why... from your global.css:

.signature {
display:block;height:250px;overflow:scroll
}

I've noticed a few other problems too so I'll be reinstalling the theme, that'll be easier than sorting each file out individually.
