Where do I upload files for a favicon? And what do I name it as?

Call it favicon.ico and upload it to the root folder, the same place as index.php, online.php, member.php etc.

I've given it quite a bit of time, and it doesn't appear
The forum is for a friend who allowed me to install MyBB for him

5 minutes is hardly quite a bit of time. Again, what's your URL...?? We can see if it shows for us.

favicon should go in your document root, which is not always the same as your forum root. Browsers look at http://techhubforums.co.cc/favicon.ico , not http://techhubforums.co.cc/forum/favicon.ico
