I accidentally deleted a forum's directory (oops!). I know I'll lose the theme (No prob, I have a backup of that), but since the database still exists, how do I restore using a new MyBB install? Will board settings be preserved (stored in db?)

Just install all new files and recreate the config.php. The settings.php might have to be recreated too. Do you have at least those files backed up? Doesn't even matter how old they are.
