I am using the mynovablack theme on my site, and in tinkering with the portal page, I am seeing "Leggi l'intera discussione di" in the link to each "announcement".

Where is that coming from? I've poked around the files to try to see where this is, but can't find it.

Check the announcment template of that custom theme that you are using.

Appears to be in the portal_announcement template.
