Hi,

I'm testing MyBB on a Windows 2003 server with Apache 2.0.55 and mySQL 4.1.6

Everything works well and the installation went well but the nagging problem I'm having is that the email sent from MyBB is incorrectly formatted.

Here are the error messages:

I know the php mail() function is working because I'm testing another PHP BB system at the same time as myBB. There are no problems with that one and it uses the mail() function as well.

There is no problem telnetting to the Exchange server and it accepts emails from the webserver.

The set up IS on the intranet but there are several websites within the LAN that use php mail().

Could the problem be related to the format of the string sent to the server. It seems to be this that is rejected.

I resolved the problem by uncommenting and setting the
sendmail_from = [email protected] variable in php.ini

Everything appears to work OK now.

i think you should also aopt the method which is using commonly because in this way u can slove this problem easily <sendmail_from = [email protected] variable in php.ini>.This will help you to restore your email id.
