As subject, talking about performance, load balance, cost, memory consuming or security etc.. between Apache vs Lighttpd vs Nginx. Also (important) feature for some people such Mod_Rewrite.
Take this
old article as reference. This
converter (may) someone use it.
Any experience guys?

I'm using nginx on my server. I recommend it over any webserver. I wouldn't be able to switch back to Apache now.
There is a post about friendly urls on nginx

What about memory and heavy load traffic? Nginx vs Lighttpd?

I don't have that high traffic, but memory usage is a lot better than Apache (What I used to use) by far. I run about 14 WordPress blogs on it.
I use a CDN (Amazon S3 & Amazon Cloudfront) to lower the load on the webserver also. I can't speak for databases though. I haven't had enough traffic for that.
I get about 20k unique on all of my sites put together in a month.
I've never used lighttpd on my websites, I have tested it though.
Most of the comparisons I see against Apache are not for version 2.2 which has much improved performance.

I was using 2.2.
I only recently switched to nginx, and would never go back.
Just use Lighttpd over Apache.
Later, will try Nginx.
Performance test on Live site will measure at Monday-Friday only (peak time).
Does any script or methods to test/simulate a big "Slashdot Effect"?
My problem is mysql not the http server.
Lighttpd all the way. For the record, YouTube and Wikipedia use it.
