How can I restore a backup?

Install a new mybb, goto phpmyadmin select the new database from left hand panel> import tab> browser your saved database.

niet heel super groot, het gaat alleen om de posts, members, forums etc.

I tried your option, but I got this error:
#1050 - Table 'mybb_adminoptions' already exists

I tried your option, but I got this error:
#1050 - Table 'mybb_adminoptions' already exists

You must try to restore the backup at an empty database. Cos from the error message you are getting the backup copy doesn''t have the DROP TABLE IF EXISTS sometable; command that should have done that automatically.
You're trying to import into a database that already has tables... have you already installed a forum to that database??
Didi you manage to restore the db Pauloss?
