I finally installed MyBB and had finished configuring my forum n stuff. After I completed all of that, I decided to switch to my own domain name instead of the subdomain my hosting service was giving me. So I set the nameservers and it worked just fine, besides the fact that all of the images had vanished and buttons had become plain links. When ever I tried to click login, the page was not found. I finally fixed the problem by deleting MyBB and reinstalling it.

I will probably want to change my domain name again in the future and would like to know a better way to solve this problem. Halp?
Did you do those changes in ACP>Settings?

Cookie domain: .YOURDOMAIN.com
Cookie path: /
Board URL: http://www.YOURDOMAIN.com
You need to change the cookie settings and board URL in settings.php, then in the ACP.
Ahh. Yes I can see why that would cause a problem. Anything else I need to know?
NOTE: The settings I posted above and bellow aren't always the same for ALL sites. If you have any problem you need to post the URL to your site and then any Moderator or member will give you the correct configuration.

Another thing though is if you have a lot of members try and redirect your subdomain and tell them to update the bookmarks. This will make for smoother move.
