I am seriously interested in transferring my phpbb3 forum to mybb. Can someone tell me how to do this? The directions after I downloaded the program was difficult for me to understand.

Do I have to provide my own host for mybb? Thanks

You do. You can use one in my sig if you need a free host, and qualify for it. If you want a good paid host, MyBBWebhost and Jweb2 are quite good.

Ok, thanks for the advice. So, I purchase the host, then there will be instructions on how to upload the forum? Or create the forum first and then upload it to the host?

After you have a host, just download a FTP Client, (Like filzilla) Connect, and upload the MyBB files.
