Lately I have been thinking about switching from ipb to mybb. I am how ever seeing a few missing features that would be nice to see in mybb.
1. Display names - for both security and fun. The security is that no one can see what your username is so attempting to log in as you would be much harder.
2. openid and facebook connect, which ipb3 does have.
3. gravatar, which ipb3 also has and is kind of nice.
4. Pm's set up like threads. A nice feature of ocf and ipb.

Other then the lack of those I am still considering the switch to mybb.

About #1 you mean like being able to set a different display name?

Another site i am on does this (An SMF site) and i suppose it could be helpfull in this way.... (Provided they dont find out your actual login name)

Ya smf does use it as well. I would go with smf but it looks primitive compared to mybb.

I agree..... Since i found MyBB,it is the best FREE alternative of going to VB4 in my opinion...

I cant believe how good this runs on IE6 (VB4 runs like crap on IE6,doesnt display right,etc)

I would say go with MyBB bud,you wont be dissapointed!

I am currently using IPB.

IPB is good also.... (Not too bloated)

Ya I do like it and would love the features of ipb in mybb and the few features in ipb I would like to see in mybb are listed above.

Gravatar would make a great plugin.
