Hello,
I try to merge forum about japan from phpbb2(by przemo, but i've removed modifications) to mybb, but problem is those japans characters.
When i was moving forum in polish it was not problems becouse i had to export databass, and in notepad change little count of them, but now it can be bigger problem, there is a lot of 'strange' characters
Old was latin1_swedish_ci and now it is utf8_general_ci. Does somebody know the best way to fix it?
Ofc. i used the newest merge system to newest mybb.
I tryed to do it with utf-8 conversion in ACP but it doesn't works'

I was looking for fix for long time, but i havn't found it. I don't want to change coding in new forum, but in old or 'between' them. I think it can be possible to find some php function which convert characters like & #31169; to "normal" and add it into merge system, but i can't find it
