Firstly, Sorry if this has been asked before, i;ve not seen anything that stands out as a similar thread for this issue.. so here goes...

I have just installed 1.4.11 and believe that i have set everything up correctly,.. all user pages work nicely, mod page works nice too... however .. the admin control panel has no visable links or images, and the page format is broken .. like a css error ? This error shows the same in firefox, chrome, and ie6.


Have checked my apache error logs etc and nothing looks broken..

Same here, no text/link in cpanel.

nothing broken, no permission or path errors.

My guess would be a missing Lang file.

Upload english and french translation files, copied them then

and stil no text, english or french in admin panel.

ok...

I removed everything, re-downloaded and re-installed...

on new install ./inc/languages/english was borked

removed the folder

re-uploaded that one folder again


result: curiously it all works as expected now.

done ! it's works now... curiously... if I dont "chmod" the lang files...

Not sure what your search terms were as there's tons of threads on this, but glad it's sorted
