nevermind I got it wrong. Anyway I don't think this is important. Users download it and know it's not an official release, it's up to them to choose to install it or not

There will be a beta and RC they just aren't that far along yet. (where you don't need to use SVN to participate)

I don't think we'll be adding code just for the SVN/Development version, just to completely remove it again when releasing it.

It's well noted in and around MyBB, as well as Matt's thread on how to use SVN and the Development Site blog post, that we will not support the trunk. Therefore, if someone has got a copy of it, then somewhere along the line, they've passed this warning...
