Maybe not just rapidshare then, but similar links like this... there's a lot of . after the final /, it must break the regex. They're not in the usual URL format.
Yup the links won't work with any server on any forum with the ... if copied and pasted. Usually that is not a complete link. It is abbreviated. Matt is right. If you use FireFox .. Just rt.click on the questionable link and properties and it will display the entire address.
I suppose in a way it's bug, but then again it's not a conventional URL so we'd need some hacky fix for it.
Maybe you could use tinyurl.

I don't think his users will want to keep doing that every time they want to post a link.
