I get a bunch of almost registered spam bots that register but never activate their accounts, and it gets rather annoying to have to go through and clean them up every so often. Is there a way to automatically prune unactivated accounts if there has been no activity on them for a week?

You could write a PHP script to do it fairly easily then use the MyBB task scheduler to run it regularly (I think you can at least).

Darn, I was hoping I wouldn't have to install a plugin to do this. Oh well, I'll think about it.

Yeah. I do that in my forum too. But at least, mybb 1.6 already has that feature.
