This is my first time using any type of forums so hopefully I'm not just making dumb mistakes but I am having problems with the installation process.

I am hosting with Godaddy.com but it is paid hosting, since I noticed that some people were having issues with their free hosting.

I have downloaded all the necessary files, placed them in a File called Forums and uploaded them to my site using Adobe Dreamweaver CS4. Every time I do upload I get a message saying:

File activity incomplete. 1 file(s) or folder(s) were not completed.
Files updated: 740
Files skipped: 7

Files with errors: 1
Forums


As directed by the install Wikki I go to http://www.SigmaTauGamma.net/Forums and /Forums/Installer. Neither of the pages can be located. Any suggestions to having this work with go daddy or if I have other options.

It's not installer, just install... http://www.sigmataugamma.net/Forums/install/

You'll need to make sure the files with errors are uploaded though... why not use a normal FTP client such as Filezilla??

Replacing Installer with Install did correct the problem and it allowed me to completely go through the installation process, and also as you recommended I removed the files off of the server and replaced them using Filezilla. But unfortunately I still will not allow me to go into the admin panel to set everything up. It tells me that:

Not Found

The requested URL /forums/admin/ was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.33 Server at www.sigmataugamma.net Port 80

I have tried adding on index.php and I am at a total loss.. Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions.

Can you tell us where the board actually is located because http://www.SigmaTauGamma.net/forums 404's which explains why http://www.SigmaTauGamma.net/forums/admin is 404 as well.

You've called the folder Forums so it needs to have the capital F in the URL too.

The install isn't the problem. Its the admin page.

Works fine. Although it's saying you haven't installed...

Because he hasn't installed yet You need to install before the adminCP works.
