And we have to clap because you decided not to use some creativity, and resorted to port a vB theme? I hope you do have permissions to port it from the author (which I guess you do)
I'm not doing this for myself, its for a client, also every link I click on the demo board: http://www.forumthemes.com/dev/index.php# Such as privacy policy, contact us, etc. just takes me back to the top of the page so I assume the author didn't care correct me if I'm wrong.

Never 'assume' anything like that. No matter what the demo board says, you need to ask the author if you can convert it.
Maybe the demo board is just to show people what it looks like and is not a full VB forum, as it is expensive to buy.
If it's not a free theme, you DEFINITELY need to ask the author of it.
I can't find the author! I just spent 20 minutes googgling and looking all over forumthemes.com so what do I do?

EDIT: The user "william" looks like he would know Im gonna email him and see if he made it.
If you can't the author, you can kiss the conversion goodbye. Especially if it's a paid vB theme. If it's a free theme, than more than likely the author wont care. As long as you aren't making money off of the conversion.
Hmm well guess I cant make this theme , oh well I guess it can just be a side project, you guys can close this Sad
Just make sure you have the authors/theme owners permission next time, and it should be fine.
