Full Version: Mycodes not working

I have added several mycodes so far but they never seem to work.
I add them, they seem activated but when i preview it below the mycode or go do a post or preview post on my forum, it doesn't do anything.
So [mycode]lol[/mycode] just becomes [mycode]lol[/mycode] without parsing/convertion.

Is there any option that i'm missing here ?

I'm going to set up a test account now, will edit the post asap.

Hope anyone can help
Bottom two work fine for me. Sure everything's going in the right option boxes??
I checked them on my localhost, the codes provided in that thread work for me, so if they're not for you, you must be doing something wrong, hence me asking you to make sure everything is in the right place. I just copied and pasted the contents of your post on your forum onto my localhost, and they both worked, so something isn't right in the way you've set them up.
Well i just regullary installed MyBB, are there any options that could cause this or theme problems ?
Or could this be server configuration ?
Again, are you sure you're putting the code in the correct option boxes?? Are you sure they're enabled...??
Yes >.>
I can even give you an administrator account through PM so you can check for yourself.
OK, shoot me a PM.
Ahhh I see what's doing it, it's magic quotes again. Your host is running PHP 5.3 and magic quotes has been deprecated so it doesn't work properly, but they still have it enabled, and it's escaping everything twice, breaking the MyCodes. Solution is to ask them to disable it, they have to anyway, it's incompatible with the PHP version.
Have posted it on their forums, hope they agree ^^.
