Well I want to make my index a sort of news page where I can post new things, how can I do this is there a plugin or something?

You could set your portal as your home page that would do the trick.

You must have deleted it then unless your forum is in a different directory.

E.G. yoursite.com/mybb/

Well, make sure it is on the server - if not upload it to MyBB 1.4.11 package

Yes like that but I want info like news and not threads, is this possible?

You could make your own boxes but you would need to edit templates to edit them.
